FIRST ANNOUNCEMENT
Welcome
Dear Colleague,
We would like to invite you to attend the “International Symposium on International Symposium on
Kaz Mountains (Mount Ida) and Edremit- Global Change in the Mediterranean Region” to be held
22-24 October 2010. The meeting is hosted by Edremit Municipality.
This symposium is organized to bring together academic scientists, from different countries to
meet and do discuss current research. The Symposium is broad in scientific scope, are open to
all academicians those interested, in the geography, history, culture, settlement, population,
tourism, ecosystems, climate, olive agriculture, ecology, mythology, vegetation, botany of
Mediterranean Region.
All papers presented at the symposium will be published in Symposium Proceeding Book. Call for
abstracts and papers are now open. Abstracts will be accepted until May 1, 2010. Abstracts of no
more than 400 words should be submitted to: kazdagisymposium@gmail.com
The language of the symposium will be English.

In addition to the academic programs at the Symposium, we have also organized excursions and
do hope we will be able to give you a flavor of our beautiful region and its culture.
Please note that ALL APPROVED PARTICIPANTS from abroad will be accommodated at the
Hotel FREE of CHARGE. There is no fee for registration and field trips.
